Launch had several adapters that could be upgraded to the full functionality of X431 Pro3.
Those are DBScar series adapters. Actually, there are a lot of them, but we’ll consider the most famous. Now they’re all out of production, it’s harder to find them, and the adapters themselves are getting more expensive.
DBScar 1 activation
Below is a list of Launch scanners that can be activated to full functionality.
These are DBScar I series adapters:
- Idiag;
- Easydiag 2.0;
- Easydiag 3.0;
- Golo 3;
- Golo Easydiag;
- Mdiag;
- Golo Carcare;
- IcarScan.
The adapter from Launch X431 V with serial number 98269***** (asterisks are the following figures) and adapters from Diagun 3 belong here as well.
To activate DBScar 1 adapters for all car brands in Xdiag Pro3 software, you need 1 car brand (except Easydiag 3.0 – they need to be flashed). Or you can do it without a brand, but then you’ll have to hack them and flash with a special firmware.

DBScar 2 activation
DBScar II can also be activated – these are adapters from Launch X431 Pro3, Dbscar III and DBScar IV, an adapter from Diagun IV.
But all of those adapters can be activated without car brands and without opening them! The only downside of using software without opening it is a slow tech support. If a question arises, you will have to await the answer for a long time. It makes the work very difficult and slows it down.
WARNING!!! If you decided to buy a Launch adapter and use it with the stable Xdiag Pro 3, we advise you to take it from DBScar I. These are short adapters of different colors or DBScar 4 (from Diagun IV, Easydiag 3.0, Golo 3). With the official software they have a different functionality, while with Xdiag Pro 3 they get a full functionality.
